Ms. Maxwell is a Partner of the firm specializing in a variety of real property transactions. She represents developers, homebuilders, private equity groups, institutional owners and other commercial real estate owners and investors. She has particular expertise in acquisitions, dispositions, all forms of leasing, development matters, land banking transactions and construction related contracts. Ms. Maxwell previously served Vice President-Regional Corporate Counsel for Meritage Homes, a publicly traded homebuilder, and Vice President-Associate General Counsel at Hearthstone, a real estate finance/private equity company. Prior to her positions at Meritage and Hearthstone, Ms. Maxwell was an associate at the law firm of Gordon & Rees in San Francisco where she handled a variety of transactional work in the areas of real estate, corporate, employment and intellectual property. Ms. Maxwell received her B.S. with honors from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1985 and her J.D. from Santa Clara University in 1991. She is admitted to practice in California and is a member of the Real Estate Section of the State Bar of California and the Bar Association of San Francisco. |
