Ms. Nygaard joined the firm as a Senior Legal Specialist in 2011. In the real estate and corporate paralegal role, she contributed to efficient closings of (i) the purchase and sale of office buildings, shopping centers, apartment complexes, condominiums, and farm land and (ii) the financing of single site and multi-site transactions, such as construction loans, equity financing and mergers. She supports attorneys with expert real estate title and land survey analysis, due diligence review and preparation of ancillary closing documentation, such as escrow instructions, closing statements, assignments, corporate resolutions and certificates. In her work she assisted San Francisco attorneys at Morrison & Foerster, Farella Braun & Martel, Heller Ehrman and Stein & Lubin LLP. She also served as construction loan administration manager and legal liaison for the REO department at a national bank, foreclosure manager for a national title company, and legal liaison for a California real estate developer. Ms. Nygaard acted as President and as a Director of the San Francisco Paralegal Association (“SFPA”) and represented SFPA at the conferences of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. She earned a B.S. in psychology from University of California at Davis and a J.D. from San Francisco Law School. |
