Ms. Stier* joined the firm as Senior Counsel in 2008. Ms. Stier has broad experience in commercial real estate matters, including office and retail leasing, real property and hotel acquisitions and dispositions, real estate financing, hotel management agreements, and construction and design professional agreements. In addition, Ms. Stier’s leasing practice includes a focus on tenant representation, including national retail tenants and emerging technology companies. Other representative clients have included hotel companies, institutional real estate clients, financial institutions, developers, and numerous other types of landlord and tenant entities or individuals. Prior to working with SSL Law Firm, Ms. Stier was V.P., Assistant General Counsel at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, where in addition to commercial real estate, her practice included commercial contracts of a broad variety, general corporate responsibilities, risk management and employment related work. Prior to Kimpton, Ms. Stier was a Real Estate Associate at Farella Braun + Martel LLP and Allen Matkins Leck Gamble & Mallory LLP, where she also handled land use matters such as easement agreements, CC&R’s and related development and entitlement work. Ms. Stier began her career as an associate in the litigation group of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. Ms. Stier received her B.A., Magna Cum Laude & Phi Beta Kappa, in Political Science-International Relations from the University of California at Los Angeles, and her J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was a Lead Articles Editor for the University of San Diego Law Review.
